Next batch in the craftster swap...
H for Homemaker - 1950s magazine cuttings
G for 'Gurning' a UK term for making a horrible face! There is a yearly contest in the North of England each year - the picture is a newspaper cutting of the world champion! The card is 3d - the face is cut out and mounted on card
I for icicle - very hard to photograph or scan! sparkly icicle christmas decoration mod podged on crinkly white tissue paper (I soaked it in PVA glue and random crinkled and creased it to look like cracked ice) the writing underneath is stamped with my new alphabet stamps. The whole thing sealed with glitter modpodge, which is rather wonderful stuff.

Urchin from Knitty
Yarn arrived 9am - hat knitted and packed up for it's new owner by 8pm (and that includes all the housework and mothering time in between) . Would have been quicker if I'd been able to understand the pattern to start with!
Used the yarn in the pattern - shetland flame. Did size medium and it ft my large head no problem. My glass head is a little bit small- looks better on a human. I think I'll try it in a smooth chunky yarn next.
